Carnforth Station Heritage Centre - Home of Brief Encounter. The Heritage Centre is housed in the beautifully-restored historic buildings, and offers the visitor a wealth of attractions, facilities and a fascinating range of exhibitions. The Brief Encounter exhibition is dedicated to the classic 1945 David Lean film, the actors and the film’s famous connection with Carnforth Station. The Age of Steam galleries house our ever growing  collection of railway memorabilia and artefacts relating to the bygone days of ‘Steam’. You may choose to enjoy a snack or a light bite as you soak up the atmosphere in the unique surroundings of the Brief Encounter Refreshment Room.  Afterwards onto  Morecambe where you can troll along Morecambe’s award winning promenade or there’s plenty of scope for ice cream, fish and chips and other seaside fare whilst you amble along the seafront, but if you prefer to eat indoors then there’s an array of cafes and restaurants to tempt your taste buds.

Excursion 2
Enjoy a day out to the classic seaside resort of Southport - enjoy scenic parks and gardens, fabulous shopping, exciting local actities and a mouth-watering array of restaurants. Traditional seaside amusements await; stroll down the UK’s oldest iron pier and try the old penny slot machines in the Pavilion at the far end, or ride traditional carousels at Funland.

The Lindum is a family-run hotel that has been welcoming visitors since the 1920s. Situated on the seafront in the traditional seaside resort of Lytham St Annes, the recently refurbished hotel is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a break.
